The recent release of the Chase Freedom Unlimited card is part of some recent updates to the excellent line of Chase’s Ultimate Rewards cards. Chase’s Sapphire Preferred card for award card enthusiasts and the original Chase Freedom bonus category cash-back card have long been a worthwhile pair. Because Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred between cards, cardholders can use the 5 percent bonus categories on the Freedom card to add extra points to their Sapphire Preferred cards.

The Freedom Unlimited card adds another option that does not require Sapphire Preferred or the new Chase Reserve to merge and activate bonus categories.

Freedom Unlimited offers a big $ 150 registration bonus and a 1.5 percent overall prize – a better and easier reward rate than the Freedom card can be managed better and better than the revolving bonus categories.

In short, Chase Freedom Unlimited has to have both a large general cash return card and the Ultimate Rewards family.

Large signup bonus

Chase Freedom Unlimited offers a nice $ 150 registration bonus if you keep at least $ 500 in the first three months of card ownership. This is one of the major bonuses available with cash return cards and takes a relatively low spending amount to win the prize.

High overall reward rate

The Chase Freedom Unlimited card comes with a fixed rate of 1.5 percent of all cards, exceeding 1 percent of the standard offered by most cards.

A flat-rate card also has advantages and disadvantages. Cardholders who do not want to follow spending categories and spending limits may prefer the simplicity of the card. However, with bonus categories, there is a possibility of winning more cash prizes. There are several cards on the market that can offer you a better payback rate of 1.5 percent in the bonuses they offer in categories such as grocery and gas station purchases. You can also use these cards with a fixed rate card to maximize your prize money.

We should also note that there are several fixed rate cards with a ratio of 2 percent. Even if you mark the factor associated with the large sign-up bonus that came with the Chase Freedom Unlimited card, a 2 percent cash-back card can give you more cash in the long term.

Flexible payment options

Using your cash payments with the Freedom Limitless card is just as perfect as getting them. Chase allows you to use any amount at any time and allows you to have various redemption options – a description credit, most control and savings account or as a deposit for gift cards, travel and products on Amazon.com.

Maximize your Chase Ultimate Rewards points

The Ultimate Rewards earned on the Freedom Unlimited card can be transferred to other Chase cards, including Sapphire Preferred and the new Sapphire Reserve card. This is where the card is worth the most.

The cash repayment is rated at 1 cents per point, while Chase Ultimate Rewards points are as high as 1.5 cents per point and are transferred to many airline partners in a 1: 1 ratio. If you take into account the high value of the Ultimate Rewards points, the Freedom Unlimited card comes before almost all other cash repayment cards on the market.

In addition, cardholders who have more than one Chase Ultimate Rewards card can combine the 1.5 percent rate they earned over general expenses on a 2 to 3 percent Freedom Unlimited card earned from Chase Sapphire cards for travel and dining. Win in rotating categories on the Chase Freedom card to earn more Ultimate Rewards points.

Good travel and purchasing advantages

Freedom Unlimited comes with a robust feature list for a cash return card. Traveling card holders will benefit from car rental insurance, travel cancellation and deduction insurance and lost baggage refund. The card also offers purchase protections, including extended warranty, price protection and return protection.

On the down side, Chase Freedom Unlimited charges an external transaction fee of 3 percent. If you are looking for a card for international travel, consider adding one of Chase’s Premium Travel Cards (for example, Sapphire Preferred or Reserve) to your wallet.
